Amritsar, March 14, 2025 – Prabhupad Gurukul, Main Branch, Verka Bypass, celebrated the Gaur Purnima festival with great devotion and enthusiasm. On this auspicious occasion, Gurukulites participated joyfully, dressed in traditional attire. A special ‘Bal Vatika‘ session was organized for the young learners, where teachers narrated the story of Holika Dahan using the Play-Way Method, imparting the significant message of the victory of good over evil.
Gurukulites, along with their teachers, took charge of the event’s arrangements and successfully conducted the main attraction of the day – Pushpa Holi (Flower Holi).
The event featured the Abhishek (holy bath) of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, along with Sankirtan and a divine Chhappan Bhog Darshan. Additionally, the Bhoomi Pujan and Shilanyas (foundation stone laying ceremony) were performed for the upcoming temple and hostel to be built on the school premises. On this historic occasion, the school’s Director, Shri. Pankaj Gupta, extended his best wishes to the attendees for this significant initiative and conveyed warm greetings for Holi.
Prabhupad Gurukul is not just an educational institution but also a custodian of culture and values. Every festival here is celebrated with utmost devotion and grandeur, ensuring that Gurukulites remain connected to their roots and embrace the essence of Sanatan culture. In response to growing parental demand and in alignment with Srila Prabhupad Ji’s teachings, Prabhupad Gurukul Junior has been established at Khazana Gate. Furthermore, to connect more Gurukulites with spiritual education and devotion to the Lord, the construction of a temple and hostel is underway.
On this occasion, the Principal, Mrs. Nitika Mahajan, extended her heartfelt wishes for Gaur Purnima and Pushpa Holi, stating, “This festival inspires us to walk the path of love, harmony, and devotion. At Prabhupad Gurukul, Gurukulites not only receive academic education but also imbibe spiritual and moral values.”
The event concluded with all attendees joyfully partaking in prasadam and celebrating Pushpa Holi, immersed in a blissful and devotional atmosphere.
